Adobe issued its first report today profiling the trend, which shows a significant surge to U.S. websites from generative AI sources.The Adobe Analytics insights are based on direct transactions online, showing the impact of generative AI on the digital economy. The retail insights, for instance, are based on analysis of more than 1 trillion visits to U.S. retail sites, a greater volume of data than is available to any other technology company or research organization. It’s that time of year again – Prime Day! Happening across 2 days (July 16-17, 2024), Prime Day has become a major industry-wide e-commerce moment, as consumers take advantage of discounts across retailers.Today, we’re releasing our online shopping insights for the 2024 Prime Day event. Adobe issued new e-commerce data today, profiling the slow but steady shift in consumer demand for shopping on smaller screens. In the first few months of 2024, consistent double-digit growth in mobile spend has put it neck-and-neck with desktop shopping. At this trajectory, Adobe sees a tipping point in the months ahead.The holiday shopping season (Nov-Dec), which already saw mobile dominate last year, is expected to see even stronger growth this year.
